The Tsarskoye Selo State Museum-Preserve is on the eve of its Tercentenary. The jubilee is the time to remember the past, to analyze the present and to plan the future.

The three centuries of the existence of Tsarskoye Selo give us an impulse to turn back to the sources, to meditate about the country"s destinies and to remember those who created this unique architectural masterpiece.

The palace and park ensemble of Tsarskoye Selo is one of the most interesting suburban complexes of St Petersburg. Closely associated with it is the artistic and political history of the Empire, the flowering and fall of Russian monarchy.

The changing names of the residence reflect three phases in its history: Tsarskoye Selo - Detskoye Selo - the Palace Museums and Parks in the Town of Pushkin - the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum-Preserve. The surviving monuments of architecture, painting, decorative and applied art, archive materials, documents, private correspondence and diaries are witnesses and direct participants of national history.
