In the month of June of last year, two of the most fashionable families of the young Faubourg Saint-Germain, those of Antoine de Lautrec and Guy de Sarlieve, quitted Paris the day after the Grand Prix, to spend some weeks in England and take part in the close of the London season, before going, the first to Carlsbad, and the second to its estate in Picardie. Simultaneously with the departure of the families in question for London, a young man known to be in love with one of the ladies also started for England.
