At the Riverville, Texas, Agricultural Fair, Miss Amelia Blanchard's Heavenly Texas Pecan Caviar is poisoned while a prize hog runs loose, distracting the crowd. Judging the"Most Original Pecan Treat" contest is the new pastor in town, from the Rushing to Calvary Independent Church, who passes over Miss Amelia's treat in favor of the dish presented by her biggest competitor, Ethelred Tomroy.
