A young heiress, about to appear in The Mikado, disappears from her private school. Mr D"Oyly Carte engages Sherlock Holmes to investigate mysterious incidents that take place at the Savoy Theatre. Holmes is arrested for murder, but arraigned on another charge, and he is challenged to a duel by an unlikely antagonist. Lastly, he and Watson investigate the strange case of the Queen, Prince Albert and John Brown at Windsor Castle.
