The selection includes pieces from many Christian traditions and lands, with a number based on the beautiful chants of the Taize and Iona communities. "Baptist Praise and Worship" also retains the responsive readings or ministers and congregations included in the previous hymnbook, but these will now be dispersed through the book, placed at the end of each thematic section together with a list of other hymns relevant to that theme.
